Granny's gone and done it again

Time for Alley to take a road trip!

Good time to quit. Think how much more money you'll have and how much healthier you would be.

Is that the "best by" or "day packed" date? On an egg carton the Julian date is the date packed.

OK, I Googled. Found that cigarettes don't "go bad" (though they may dry out) so there is no expiration date. Of course there are other comments that they do go stale. In any case the ones you just bought were manufactured April 15. Seems like they should easily last 2 months in their original wrapper. But then I don't smoke so I don't know.

If they are so stale you can't smoke them wouldn't it be a bit amoral to sell them?

If they are selling out of date stock they have to make good on it. And if you are going to keep smoking maybe you need to find a store that has fresh stock. OK, since there is no expiration date on cigarettes I don't know how the store can be liable for "bad stock".
I have lol I drove 4hrs one way for my buck and 3 for a doe on my bday. Although she was 400 lol

Some varmint, I suspect a coon, pullet a grown out polish through the hardware cloth by it's toe apparently. I am sick. I took the other 2 out because they have all been laying on the wire instead of up on the perch. Sigh.
Sorry Cap. Raccoons will do that. When I was a kid, a 5 wk old chick got a wing pulled off through the wire. It survived, but was never really healthy.

How was your day, I'm excited to hear about it =)))
Hello. Welcome to Granny's! And welcome to BYC. I see that was your first post. Tell us about yourself. Do you have a lot of chickens?
Sorry, but you caught me just as I went to make a salad for dinner.

I had a chicken lose half its leg once and it lived quite a while.
It's amazing that they can survive that much.

I went up to the farm this weekend to give my dad a haircut. Guess I am his new barber since covid messed everything up! He doesn't keep a dog on the property, so the deer and turkeys come around for water and are pretty tame. I got to see the twin fawns... they are getting bigger, still have their spots. And I saw the 2 turkey poults being raised by 2 hens. There had been about 40 turkeys in a mob roaming around, but they seemed to have moved on except for these two hens with their 2 precious chicks. Hatched at the same time, one poult is much larger than the other. Does that mean it's a male?
