Ok....Here it comes:Yay, tell us about yourself and your animals!
I will hand it to you prostar, I have always been amazed at some of the trained herders I've seen. It boggles the mind how you can train them to keep a herd in hand with just a hand signal or whistle. Last job I was at with USFW there was a gal that competed with hers. Truly amazing dogs.I’m not one of the ones saying all pits are vicious brutes or anything. I know that with the right training, (like any dog!) they can be absolute darlings, and I do know some absolute sweet pitties.
I just know different types of breeds play/react/etc differently and you need to handle them differently. Herding/working is what I know. *shrug*
Welcome to Granny's place Odd One.. If I had my guesses, and based on the size of comb and wattles, this is a pullet. I was supposed to have 3 BR pullets, but combs and wattles at 10 weeks were bright red and very large. Looks like you may have lucked out.Fifth: Pepper.

Dominique. A likely rooster, no crowing or saddles. All are 15-17 weeks BTW. If you have guesses, feel free to tell me. Super kind, low in the pecking order. Another favorite of the fam.
Sixth: Salt.View attachment 2246821
Boy? Girl? Idk. Sweet, too. More nervous. Darn cute as a chick. Very attracted to jewelry. Maybe girl!
So there you go, enjoy!
That's super!Ok....Here it comes:
My house is very animal-busy.
First, our dog, Nick. Spunky rescue mutt.View attachment 2246796View attachment 2246797
He sleeps all day. Truly. And we’re all the better for it.
Then the flock.
First the lead hen:View attachment 2246798
Melody. Buff Orp. The spawn of the devil. She is evil. Not submissive or sweet. Many times I have yelled at her ‘Go back to whatever cave you crawled out of!’ When she attacks someone innocent.
But I love her anyways. She’s just a big, insecure bully.
The right hand man: June Bug.View attachment 2246804
EE. Possibly Fauvacana. Usually kind, but will gang up on others with Mel to keep her position. I feel like she will replace Mel soon.
Third: Vanilla.View attachment 2246815
EE. Sweet as they come to us. Kind to her flock. She has blue earlobes!
(my favorite!)
Fourth: Nutmeg.View attachment 2246816
Speckled Sussex. Kinda flighty, but that’s ok. She is funny, cute, and loves worms. She is kinda the queen of foraging.
Fifth: Pepper.
