I had a course of antibiotics, finished those and I have steroid drops. Every time I use the drops, my ear feels worse.Sorry, Cap.Taking anything for it?
YepDidn't they used to cut off it's head to examine it for rabies?
Remember egg yolks?well I lied. I have a whole mess of baby angels and nothing to feed them.
A great case for having rabies shots up to date.Yes, but .... say a kid is playing with my dog and accidentally pulls his tail. My dog turns around and snaps at the kid in pain. Breaks the skin. Technically this is a bite. The dog did not attack the child. But legally, if the child's parent wanted to, or if the parent took the kid to the hospital, what legally has to happen is the dog has to be quarantined. If after 10 days there is no sign of rabies everything is fine and I get my dog back. You don't just cut the dog's head off because he "might" have rabies. That's all I'm saying. And especially in this case, with this dog attacking this kid so viciously, it's VERY important to know if the dog is rabid. You don't want to put the kid through rabies shots if you don't have to. The dog may be vicious, and he probably should be destroyed. But FIRST find out if it has rabies. If not, then the kid does not need the shots. If you don't know for sure, if you just shoot the dog without knowing, then the kid has to get the shots because the dog MIGHT have had rabies.
My younger brother went through the same thing in the 50'sMy aunt and cousin went to tend to the hunting dogs and they attacked them both. My uncle came home and went to check the dogs and they were drooling so he shot them. My aunt and cousin had to take 13 very painful shots in their bellys . That has been many yrs back but I dont think treatment has changed any. If they had waited the 10 days it took to get the results back(positive) then it would of been too late for them.

I have since boiled someRemember egg yolks?
Sigh. Ok, a year ago one of my kidlets WAS attacked by a dog. Dogs. Will bear the scars on her leg for life. It did not have rabies. She did not need the shots. The dog was "defending its property" as she walked by. The owners, such as they are, were there, thank God, and called the dogs off. Who knows how this would have ended otherwise. As a newly-minted adult, it was up to her whether to press charges and she chose not to. I'm sure you can all imagine how I feel about it.Yes. Absolutely. After I know if it has rabies. Then I want to pull the trigger.
Does your dr know?I had a course of antibiotics, finished those and I have steroid drops. Every time I use the drops, my ear feels worse.
