My GM would kill snakes w/ her walking cane. She got bit twice on the hand by a copperhead. She poured whiskey on it and drank some and by the time they got her to the city a few hrs away dr said what ever she did worked and sent her home.

My GM would shoot snakes out of the trees when we were walking the old RR bed on her farm. Danged good shot she was too!

Our GMs were strong awesome women. Think of everything they lived through. The wars, depression, My history sucks but you know what I mean. half of them died in childbirth I read once. I dont know how true that is. My GM was one amazing strong woman and I respected and loved her dearly. She was very funny and smart too. In a time when women were 2nd class they rise above them all.
Kudos for our GMs !

It's a long way and wire isn't cheap. I may just do so much at a time as I can ..

Assuming you are talking woven wire fencing and yeah it is EXPENSIVE. Hot wire is cheap.

The thought struck me to go out with crisco on a napkin and grease the pole... Still waiting to see that squirrel attempt to climb it again.

Hopefully he has a tractor and bushhawg. I would love a small John Deere with a belly mower, but can't afford it.

From the looks of it you would be better off with a Zero Turn mower.

About 6 months later, I get a recall notice for my truck. For a faulty brake pump - and the description of the problem was almost verbatim what I told that service guy, lol.

You and people like you are the reason there was a recall. If enough people don't complain they sure aren't going to pay money to fix problems.

My Gm lived in a repurposed chicken coop. She loved her little house. I lived with her for a yr or so. She taught me to make apple jelly. It was my favorite. She had a huge blackberry patch behind the house and RR tracks too ! I would listen to those things roar through at night shaking the house. We were very poor but I didnt know. I thought everyone lived like us. Before my time but the men of the house ate first then women and if there was any left the kids fought for it. I have always fed my kids first. My best birthday ever was at that house. It was the first time I realized we had nothing. Mom said she was going to fry 2 chickens for my Bday and what did I want for a present. Well I dont remember ever having a present before! I was imagining new clothes and shiny shoes when I seen her. She was counting change and crying. She didnt know I could see her. I went to her the next day and said I decided what I want. I want one of those chickens you are going to fry. She said of course hun, I am going to fry them both ! I said no, you dont understand , I WANT one of those chickens. LOL My first pet and I fell head over heals.

Boogers, all I had was an egg and muenster cheese wrap for breakfast before heading out to mow... Then came in and decide to slice up a nectarine, then stuck an apricot in there, and added banana, and oh.. had Pink Lady apple to add, then some coconut, and a few raisins to add color.. I was on FRUCTOSE overload for a while.. Still have half of it in the fridge for tomorrow.. I really didn't mean to make fruit salad, it just ended up that way... Honest!

Oh yum. That sounds awesome! I'm way behind again, but I'll ketchup, I promise!
