Granny's gone and done it again

I bought some olives today too. Big green ones stuffed with pimentos. Hubs was ogling them. He likes the occasional sip of gin, and I bet he will want an olive or two.
I can't eat chips on this diet, so salty olives are my substitute.
I eat pork rinds. There are some really good ones out there.

yall when Wishing was here there was a vulture sitting in the road and she walked right up to it, picked it up and put it in a tree !!
Down in Seminole there was an ancient live oak tree that the vultures roosted in. There were so many of them that it became more of a health hazard than anything and they cut the poor tree down. So the vultures decided the next best place was the microwave tower where radio and cell phone service emanated from. Didn't take long for that population to decrease.

There is a huge murder of crows that passes by daily here.. I've seen them walking down the road a time or two looking for 'scraps'. Then we have a type of vulture that circles overhead frequently, and of course red shoulder and red tail hawks. Won't even start in on the eagles. Down in Seminole I watched osprey catching fish. That was exciting. And the great blue herons were stunning.
Sounds beautiful. I love birds. I always wish I could fly like a bird. I love those silly turkey vultures. Hope that's what kind you have there. The black vultures can be nasty.

I am sorry but you are breathing back your CO2 and lots of other stuff you should be breathing out. Masks are not healthy for your average person to be wearing.
If you are relatively healthy, a short while in a thin mask won't hurt. I'm just glad I don't have to wear one all day long. Don't know how nurses do it!

Oh, we have those here too.. Snakes. monster sized red and black 'centipedes' and golden orb weaver spiders that get huge! I had to find a new direction to the hose bib out front today because a female orb weaver had made her web where I normally walk.

Love the orb spiders! Haven't seen one in a few years.

Oh wow! And I thought I was doing good to have all my little song birds and humm'birds, lol!
I love the hummers... ferocious little beasties they are. We have a lot of CA towhees, they are pretty tame and don't let the Scrub jay family push them around too much. We have loads of little tiny birds, hard to tell what they are, but they have the most cheerful sweet songs.

They have low carb slushees?
I get no sugar Vitamin water. Some ice in the blender with some of that and I will be happy!

I have a picture of her somewhere. Just glad she didn't barf on me. That's a defense mechanism. :sick

Sweet dreams, Granny and Blue.

I don’t remember that.
Poor thing had been hit by a car and was pretty disoriented. I got her out of the road. We found what was left of her in the road the next day.
I will have to find the pics. They are in a storage thingy somewhere. Got to have #2 help me organize those pics before he leaves. The countdown is on. One more week. :hmm

I was looking at them. I'm not a huge fan of deep fried stuff (chicken being the exception!) so don't really want to get started on another bad habit. My dad uses them to "bread" his fish and to add a little more crunch to those cheese waffle things he's been making.
I got some ground flax seed and am going to make some crackers for him to eat with his salami and Braunschweiger.

Here's the poor thing, out in the road in front of Granny's place. I was surprised to to see how similar vulture feet are to a chicken's.
