Granny's gone and done it again

Your gonna need a bigger coop !
My BA pullets are almost all laying! Cute little dark brown eggs. Got 8 out of 10 pullets today, wah-hah!
I have 8 total now, adding 4 chicks in the next week, that makes 12, and when they hatch 2 EE's to the mix... The 6 newest will go in the portable coop until they are BIG and STRONG!

So, one 20 x 20 coop with 6 innit atm, and one pen with 2 innit atm. Don't think that's stretching it too far, do you?

And what are BA pullets?

Bruiser, Henrietta Brown and Charlie Sheen are all BSL. He's coming 18 weeks this week and all but Charlie have lost all of the long tail feathers. I thought it was juvenile molt, so to speak.
Your cockerels have excellent barring. Quality birds went into making the BSLs.

Happy Birthday to Twist!!

My chickens have found a taste for summer squash. In the last two days, they ate ALL the zucchini except one that was too hard to reach. There were big bites out of the grey squash, but when I saw a munched up pattypan, that was THE END. I fenced off the garden today. Of course it HAD to be on the hottest day of the week so far. 😥 No fog this morning either.

Evidence!

I even made a little gate. Was happy to see the lizards can zip right through the deer netting. My squash is safe!
