Granny's gone and done it again

It's good you have a choice. No choice here. Talked to a teacher friend of mine and she is wishing they could at least give in person classes a try. She teaches 2nd grade and majority of her kids have parents with limited English. Makes online learning really difficult. She is also PO'ed that the school district did NOTHING to prepare for the new year. They have had months and did nothing.

DH handled everything. I was worried about bubba's speech therapy but he’s supposed to still be able to receive services.

I moved here May 10th last year, and by June 1st, I discovered the old dog pen, that is now the chicken coop. This is the kind of jungle I spent all last year clearing, one little bit at a time.

Here's the area I cleared along the front of the property. You can't even see the power pole back then. Now it's cleared to the property line. It's the area I call Serendipity plains, mostly level but potholes galore that I need to fill in.

I kept a digital log of progress for my dad to see what I was up to.

Oops, I had a boo boo.. Stuck a few garden hoses together and put the fire out by myself, but got a few holes in the hose during the process. Pfft... I got connectors and stuck it back together.

Same area this year.

Well um, erm.. I was burning a pile of brush and vines I had cut down, and hadn't thoroughly raked up the ground around the pile.. Soo, the fire started burning outward and I was focused on putting out the fire on the side away from the road when I noticed.. ut ohhhhhhh, and went for the hose. It was pretty dry along the road where the county does occasionally come along and bush hog it.

I control burned my field once. About 1/2 an acre. It went good but neighbors had to of gotten a house full of smoke.
