#1 is packing an evac bag just in case. It will make him feel better. I'm not leaving this time unless the fire is as close at it was last time. It's not close and the biggest one is blowing away from us.
I might go up to the farm for a generator, just in case. Still wouldn't be able to get water, even with that.

Right-o! One I posted was a saguaro cactus.. Mom brought home a barrel cactus on one of our trips to Phoenix when I was young.. One day she backed into it... Dad had to pull all the needles out of her buttinski with pliars.. ya shoulda heard her yelping!

cactus were the ONLY plants my mother aka Killer of all houseplants. Would manage to over water and kill that way.

I did a lot of watering today... flowers, cucumbers, beans, frogs, squash.

Yes, I keep a spot wet for a pair of Pacific tree frogs under a large overturned pot. Under the pot, they have a little bowl of water. It works great because all the bugs are drawn to the moisture and the froggies eat good.
