With a setup like that, I don't have to worry about the backside, because I plan on butting it up next to the current coop.

Here's the hoop coop I built for the guineas. It's 10 feet tall! The guineas are gone, so I split it into two halves for chickens.

I plan on doing two, side by side.. to kind of keep breeds separate. I'll keep the Buffs in with the Beifelders, and the Marans in with the EE's.

Gonna look like the army barracks in Gomer Pyle before I'm done.. lol

I would use pressure treated wood for the bottom part personally AND something other the plastic netting. I don't think it would stop a coon or possum.
That would never last the winds or the winter up here in the HINTERlands, BUT down where your at I think perfect.

Yup, plan on using harware cloth or something around the bottom, and treated 4x4's on the sides.. treated 2 x's on front and back.
