There is a huge fire about 20 miles to the west of us. We have been getting plenty of smoke the past couple of days. Whole valley was filled with it today. Hope the storm clears it out a bit tonight.

And the news conference from CalFire... they said the fires up here will burn for at least 3 more weeks.

We just had to close up the house... smoky again.
Can't wait for the air purifier! Hope it works.

I guess theres really no way to tell if its worse w/o actually being there. Can you draw a picture in the soot on your car ?

No soot, just some ash and tons of dust. Not wasting water to wash it at this point.

Light Brahmas?

Yup.. I was looking up 'chicks with feathered feets and saw a pick of the Light Brahmas.. Body type, feathered legs and wing pattern match the LB perfectly. And the lil boogers don't have cheek patches at all.

Good Sloppy Morning to ya'll! Raining outside this morning.. Wonder how I'm gonna feed the kids this morning. Bruiser and his ladies have no worries since they stay in the hen house when it's raining and that's where their food and water is. Charlie and HB have a tarp over their place and can still get to food and water.. but Henri, SP and Mollie are in the barrel. Beach umbrella over their place doesn't do much to keep the rain away.. Barrel is tilted open end down so they should stay dry, and the food is in a large tub on it's side so it's safe. Guess I'll have to wait for a pause in the rain to go out.

There's a tiny red star on the map just west of Pensacola... That's where the old house was.... The lady who bought it did everything possible to scam not just me but the agent and agency.. She got nearly all the realtor's fees that my agent 'earned' by claiming I had lied and was gonna take us to court. The agency gave in to save bad publicity, in spite of the fact she was lying. I hope she swims good!

Vickie brought in 6 dozen eggs total lay since either Monday or Tuesday.

with over 100 hens. SOMETHING is NOT right.

Probably not getting enough feed and water.
