I dun thinks my marans is a frizzle. That is just toooooooooooo wild!
The ones in the video that almost look like favorelles still have not developed muffs or beards of any sort. They could be splash marans as well. The guy just probably didn't sort his eggs well, or keep track.

by the by. when I was sifting all the stuff out of the sand in the sand box today, I noticed the ammonia from peee. So I added some baking soda to the sand to neutralize some of it.. do you think that will hurt the babies? I have fresh sand drying out to use. Tomorrow I'll replace the old sand with fresh sand, then take the old stuff out and wash it good before using it again.

Agreed. I finally got a pure bred one from my birds after getting 3 cross breeds earlier this spring. I'm hoping it's a rooster as I only have one EF fayoumi right now and I want to either eventually have full blooded birds or cross breds along with my bantams.

Such nice birds. Flighty but gentle.

I have no patience for bad phlebotomists. I was trained to draw blood and start IVs and we were taught that after 2 tries, get somebody else to do the stick.

As a patient I once had somebody decide they were going to go for a deep vein when I have these nice big veins that just pop out at you in the crook of my elbow. After 4 excruciating attempts and this sweet young thing going, 'well, I KNOW it's there, just one more try!'. I got her attention and told her that she was going to get that 'bleeping' needle out of my arm and use a surface vein or I was going to show her a new place to store her used syringes. She got the message and got the draw on the first try.
