I just finished bedding mine down for the night and couldn't resist doing the old 'will it lie quietly in my hand or refuse to lie quietly' trick and if it rings true, I have two cockerels and one pullet out of my last hatch this past weekend. I 'tested' the two week olds earlier in the day and if they aren't lying to me, I have two more cockerels and one of them is a full blooded Fayoumi

Last year when I got my EFs I had ordered four pullets and two cockerels. One of the cockerels died after arrival. I should have asked for a replacement but a friend had included my order in with theirs and I didn't want to put them to any trouble. But I have been hoping for a purebred cockerel to pop up at some point and looks like I got one...of course I have three mixed breed Fayoumi and lordie only knows what cockerels to deal with but hey, no complaints!

I'll love em all also.

I have way too many roosters and cockerels. Should probably process some, if it will cool off. They really need to go, as well as some of my older Polish. Need to make room for my young birds.

What kinda mess have I got myself into? I will need 2 brine shrimp hatcheries going starting a new one tomorrow if I want them to have fresh food every day. My 3 littles are smaller then they should be and I am blaming the type of food they are getting. I am hoping to raise this batch up faster and healthier then those are.
