Granny's gone and done it again

If you read their breed standard, they are tough dogs and part of the fighting is just maintaining the pecking order. You have to be tough to herd cattle.
Yep. These 5 aren't our first rodeo.

We adopted a stray Blue Heeler twelve years ago who wandered in one weekend. He was a Doll Baby, just a sweet stubborn loving dog we adored. We lost him almost two years ago to Degenerative Myelopathy. It was a horrible thing to watch happen to him and we promised that when we found another cattle dog we would get it.

We weren't counting on 5 but if I hadn't wheeled and dealed with the owner (started at 25$ apiece and talked him down to 5$ apiece) the next stop for these babies from implications was a one way ticket to the nearest ravine which is sop for the puppy mills. Sorry, couldn't let that happen.

We said that Dingo left a hole so big in our hearts that it took 5 puppies to fill it.

It's been a tough journey but I once read that the troubled dog is the one you need the most. I'm starting to believe that is true.

I agree 100% all my animals have been rescues .Your name is Becky ? Is that what you prefer to be called ? Its shorter !

Hubby was really annoyed tonight at my procrastination. Of course , it is nothing new. I think he's got cabin fever, he couldn't go on his vacation this year due to Covid. I am sure he would like me to clean more. He asked me today if I am going to grout the floor tiles that need it. I am usually too tired to do much besides tend the animals. Getting old sucks

Did you hand him the can of grout give him a kiss on the cheek and tell him to have fun and you really appreciate his offer to help out!?

Tell him my favorite kitchen saying:

My house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy.

If he wants it any different hand him the broom and dust cloth.

Brins shrimp are not hatching. Gonna need to stick w/ frozen. easier anyway.
Robert went for a walk today. Unusual by itself then he was gone for over an hr so I went looking for him. He was all the way to 700.
