Granny's gone and done it again

In the future I may need to find a way to 'cage' the corms.. down to 5 from the original 11 on the stalk.. Me thinks the chipmunks have found them to be delish!

This plant definitely has a place in the house over the winter months. It stays in the brooder room and requires very little watering.

Hmmmmm, I don't have any pie or cake to munch on for an evening snack, so I stuck a skillet of cornbread in the oven... when it's done, I'll have a bowl of cornbread with milk and sugar on top.

OMG! My mother used to love to eat cold cornbread that way as a bedtime snack. She was born and raised in Kentucky down by the Tennessee border.

I always wondered if it was a 'southern' delicacy. Now I know.

Thank you for the good memory.

@Granny Hatchet, how ever did you manage to get angels to breed for you? I had three angels in a big 20 gallon tank that I bought as babies and grew them to saucer size. The pet store that I sold them to was amazed and told me that just about everything about angels was hard to manage.
Must be sumpin in the water ! :D all my fish like to breed. snails, guppies, angels.
The pet store I went to to buy brine offered me a cool dollar each for my babies. He sells them from $13.00 to $20.00
