Granny's gone and done it again

Shhh, don't tell my back, but I am planning on working on Scoot tomorrow. Scissors... it's the easiest way for me, but time consuming. And hard on my back.
Cant you do that in parts ? Like 2 legs tomorrow then make yourself stop? I mean, I cant but maybe you can?

I had Mu Shu Pork for dinner. :drool Pork, mushrooms, fungus, bamboo shoots, cabbage, and egg in a mild broth with plum sauce. I ate way too much. :D Best comfort food. And I didn't have to cook!
OMG That sounds so good ! I wish I knew what I am craving , I would eat it but it seems its nothing in this house. I have tried it all !

It's so messy. I don't want to have to clean up every time. Will be too hot, so we'll be inside. I'll lay down an old sheet to collect the worst of it.
Also, by the time I wear him down so he'll let me work without being a pill, well, I'm almost done anyway, and won't have the strength the next day.

Well darlin, Its that time of night here. Maybe when I get fixed I will have more energy . I am so very tired.
Me too. It's cool tonight. Maybe I'll actually get some sleep.
Sleep well. :hugs

:hit No, I won't get any sleep. Scooter was antsy to go out before bed, so I let him out. The little goober zoomed off and when he came back, so did the scent of skunk. :hit It wasn't a direct hit, so not as bad as it could be, but he is still sleeping in the garage. And I have a headache. :hit Perfume and smoke aren't the only things that give me an instant headache.
What a goober!!

I will see if my new air purifier will work on skunk. It does help with the smoke.

Dang girl that is one impressive black snake. Kudos to you handling it. Did it bite you?

I've got an idea! We need to find a post from somebody who says that when you catch a predator you should take it out and set if free to raid hen houses again...and mail it to them....

I'm sorry, yeah, I'm a bad girl that just sort of slipped out. If I'd ignored it my brain would have exploded.:plbb

So excited! My new washing machine just arrived.:yesss::wee:yesss: Now I can catch up on two weeks worth of dirty clothes and Diesel (cattle dog) has a new shelf to sleep on which means I need to put a blanket over it when it's not in use.

It's so pretty and white and clean. No dog prints on it, no surprise lizards in it. I may cry
Well now you jinxed it. Next time you do laundry, you’ll find a laundry lizard!!
I am a big fan of prong collars. Some people don't understand them and give you evil looks. I have heard some say, would you want that around your neck? Well, no, but my neck is not a dog neck with fewer sensory nerves.
But it allowed my very dominant big dog to respect the leash and go for walks calmly without issue. To me, that was worth a few judgemental looks.
Hold that thought
AMEN!

For us it's having control. Cattle dogs are powerful, stubborn, hardheaded dogs. They like to control, not be controlled.

We liked the one we got so well we ordered a second so we can each take a dog out for a walk.

Diesel looks forwards to his walks now. When I close the doggy door, he knows it's his time. He's dancing, whining, mugging me for kisses, dancing some more. He sits and holds his head up for the collar to be put on and sits and holds his nose up for it to be removed. Walking, he's right at our side. We are working on 'heel' with him now and he is catching on fast.

I'll take Judgmental looks also. We tried nice martingale collars with no joy. These collars are making our dogs play 'nice' with us.

If somebody says something to me I think I'll look them in the eye and say, hey, I won't tell you how to raise your kids and you won't tell me how to train my dogs. These dogs aren't abused. They were being abused by the Amish puppy mill that was feeding them a raw dead goat kid and a raw rabbit when we found them.We love them, they know we love them and they love being with us. That is what the collars have done for us and them, allowed us to take them out with us for walks and be in control of them. Without the collars that wouldn't be happening.

there is no magical one size fits all training for dogs. What worked amazingly with me and peach may not work well with me and my new guy. Or any other dogs.

if a prong collar (properly fitted, of course) is what allows you and your dog to enjoy a walk, awesome. If a halti-style collar brings you and your dog joy, fine. Martingale? Cool. Never used one but hey if it works it works. Choke collar? I’ve had dogs try to kill themselves over it but if it works with your dog, fine.

was out to the farm today. Granny and Twisty are STILL LARGE AND IN CHARGE although Twisty seems to have dropped way low in the belly.

Got the stock tank cracks sealed with first coat of flexseal.

Then got the area by the oats bins all cleaned up and mowed down with a 2 wheeled mower/trimmer worked all the way down past chicken run and the main calf paddock.

Then loaded Curly up and into the VETS . She got a pencillin shot, some other type of shot , and a copper/multi-vitiamin shot and an extra shot of pen to be given on thrus. Poor thing is/was not doing well, she has a bit of foot rot in her right front one right between her to toes. Also bloody stools of which she gifted the vet with a sample.
hope she’s feeling better soon! Poor CS.

I have one of those wheeled mower/trimmers. I call it my wheeled weed eater on steroids.. I do almost the whole place with it. Makes life so much easier than a push mower.

Just after 4 a.m. here.. And I'm awake! That's what I get for falling asleep at 8 something last night. Dark as heck outside still. Hours to go until I can get outside and do something. How about I make up a batch of Waffles? I'll leave some on the table with coffee and OJ for ya'll.
