Granny's gone and done it again

Going to an obedience trial. Hoping to get my last leg for my CD.

Good luck. Princess had a business trip so I took our golden to a dual show up in Syracuse several years ago. First show she achieved her CDX, but on the long down the male golden next to her kept looking at and leaning towards her - he didn't break, but his owner couldn't understand what was going on. Got up the second morning, and there was staining on her bed - she had come in heat. Needless to say we did not compete the second day, and I explained to his owner what her dog had sensed the day before. Sex remains a strong drive.

Altered dogs can compete in obedience, can't they? Or no? 🤔 I know they can't in conformation.

I believe they can compete in obedience and rally, but am not 100 % on that. Although we really enjoyed it , Livvie is the only dog with which we have competed in obedience. We had her trained for utility and then 'articles' became a problem for her. Once it stopped being fun for her we stopped competing.

Wow that’s amazing. There are no more long sits and downs in open.

They are doing a really fun thing now called nosework. People just love it.
