So sad to see all the destruction. How are you holding up, Wishing? This is your neighborhood, right, or at least your area. It must be shocking to see all this devastation. These pictures move me to tears and I'm nowhere near it.

My neighborhood is unscathed. This area is close enough that we were evacuated when the fire went through, but in reality there is a significant mountain ridge between where this burned and where I live. It's about a 30 min drive away on winding country roads, but a short distance as the crow flies... or as the fire burns.

Burned all around but spared the house. Aint that something.

No doubt there was a fire crew there to save the house. They have gotten very good at it the past several years.

Says something for clearing out bushes around the house in fire country!

good the dumpster can NOT accept another leaf , and still they pile up in the courtyard/parking lot.

Had a nice storm blow thru and I do mean BLOW , brought quite a bit of rain.

fixed a bunch of lights again.
