Granny's gone and done it again

Does your cat vomit frequently? Schedule a visit to the vet when you get back from your travels. Ours did and also was losing weight; she turned out to have feline leukemia. We're managing it now with diet but she had a course of antibiotics and steroids for a while to get stabilized.
Sorry, I don't mean to diagnose your cat from here. Just mean it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

Henry has A LOT of hair and it seems like he sheds about 8 months out of the year. Big gobs of hair all over the carpet. We brush him, but it's a losing battle. I have hairball ointment, and he won't take it willingly so I have to hunt him down, sit on him, and smear it on his leg. It's been about 2 months since the last barf and I saw some hair piles just his week, so I need to start gooping his leg again.

The Palm Beach Post says leukemia is one possibility:

Frequent nose bleeds or “epistaxis” needs to be investigated. It can be from trauma, dry air, allergies, foreign bodies lodged in the nose, rat poison ingestion, blood- borne parasites, leukemia, allergies, bleeding disorders, toxins, dusty cat litter, house dust, inhaled irritants, nasal polyps, or tumors.Dec 17, 2016

Will Vaseline do? And can you gob it (either the ointment or Vaseline) on the bottom of a front foot? He will surely lick it off from there.
