Granny's gone and done it again

So, you need to know some exercises you can do in your recliner? I have a bum ankle so I can't walk either but I'll be happy to dhare a few with you. If you want?
Of course ! I had a failed surgery on my ach. I can walk and stand I just cant climb and I wonder if I could use a bike machine or not.

Hmm, a stationery bike would be wonderful if you can. But meanwhile, here are a few of mine. If you can walk, try walking in place for 15 min in front of the tv. I try to do half an hour but sometimes I can't so I actually "walk" in the recliner, doing alternating leg lifts for 30 min. I also have 2 and 3-lb. hand weights. Do 10, then 15, then 20, and work up to 30 lifts with each arm. Palm up, thumb up, palm down. Rest arm on chair arm. On the palm down one, raise arm up to shoulder, then lift all the way straight up. Bend arm back down return to original position.

That'll do for a start, but check with your dr. first!
