In case you’ve been missing out on your bubba fix: Still no haircut. They’re both pretty tall. I’ll post a pic of us in our Halloween costumes too. I was Robin, bc the exec chef was Batman.

I remember my mom telling me when she and my dad married my GM cooked dinner for them. She made chicken feet. When they were done she put one foot in each of their plates and said Now, go scratch for yourselves. This is why I know how to cook the feet. After you scald them you have to pull the toenails off and peel all the skin off. Then you can use them for your broth or boil them to eat. It is mostly sinew .

@BigBlueHen53 I attempted to do my own potting mix using our soil only I ran into a BIG problem with it that killed my Grande Champion Christmas Cactus 4 years ago. Turned out that there is some sort of fungus amongus in our soil that killed off all the roots on the cactus and two other plants that I transplanted into it. I won't try that again.

I did try to mix sand (we have a stream that runs through our property plus a big creek to our east so sand is no problem. Some of my plants are doing really well with the Miracle grow soil mixed with sand...just not that darned crown of thorns.

Fungus or mold a definite possibility around here.

I don't know about wally world, as I don't shop there. Probably get it at Hobby Lobby, but not sure.

Try a heating pad. That helps mine.

Nurse advise me not to, as it caused her move the infection around her ear.

Do you eat them raw?

no, not yet. IF I did, it would be in a smoothie. Don't like the slimy feeling, same reason I don't eat raw oysters. LOL
