well, you need to put a fish in it to fertilize the plants. A pretty betta maybe. Its kinda small for too much. then the plants will use the fish poop for food. You will need to feed the fish anywhere from once a day to once every 3 days. (up to you) and do a small water change about once a month. The water will need to either be treated to remove clorine or let it set out for 24 hrs before you use it in the tank. Thats all I can think of.

Happy dance then trips over the fish bucket...... LOL Next couple days I will know if they are eating. I know a couple of them are so high hopes.
