Verna, what kind of food do the quail eat? Is it expensive?

I feed mine game bird feed. More expensive than layer feed, but it's ground up some so the smaller birds can eat it.

The grown-ups always used to act like they were making the Big Sacrifice, giving all the wonderful White Meat to the precious chidren because it was the holiday thing to do, while they, the grown-ups, satisfied themselves with the shreds of icky dark meat .... LIES!!! The dark meat is the BEST! But I'm a grown-up now. I can have all the dark meat I want. Funny. For some strange reason my kids won't eat it. . .
