Blue I make never fail fudge. Never had a batch go bad. It's the recipe using a can of condensed sweetened milk, sugar and a stick of margarine. You bring it up to soft ball, remove it from the stove and add a jar of marshmallow fluff and a bag of semi sweet choco chips. I swear it always turns out good. I like mine a bit soft so I take it off the fire just before it reaches soft ball. You can add peanut butter to it and all the standard add ons.Lol, too humid already apparently. My fudge failed! It siezed up. The butter is separating out of it and the fudge is coarse and grainy. I just stepped out the door and sure enough, it is raining.
I fell back asleep LOL
Just as long as the snow doesn't come to me. LOL. I don't want any snow. Glad you got all the cards done today. I know, making them all takes lots of time. You put a lot of yourself into them.I wish it was snow. I need snow!
We had a lemon pie about a month ago. Made with pudding. It was disappointing but I didn't know why. Next quest: learn how to make lemon curd! Thanks, h2o!
Doing quail eggs, there isn't a problem. Never have tasted pickled eggs that were chalky. Mine are going to be a bit spicy. Thanks Verna. I hope people like them If all goes to plan they will be out in tomorrow's mail. I wasn't able to get out and get new cards so I approached the challenge from a different angle.
That is one of the blessings that has come out of this Covid mess for me. I've learned how to live as a high risk individual and provide for my family and find the things that we need while staying safe at the same time.
You pickle eggs? Okay, I gots a question for ya. We know a guy here who is trying to figure out how to pickle eggs so that the yolks don't get chalky. Does anybody have any ideas? He's tried sticking toothpicks into the boiled eggs, tired everything with no success. Is it possible? My mom used to make pickled beets with eggs. The yolks were always chalky for hers also. Me, I loved the beet pickled whites of the eggs and could care less about the yolks.
If you like your lemon filling tart you will love the curd.We had a lemon pie about a month ago. Made with pudding. It was disappointing but I didn't know why. Next quest: learn how to make lemon curd! Thanks, h2o!
