Granny's gone and done it again

I was out working on a hay feeder for the goats and Sunny got too cold. It was getting late anyway. We may hit 70 tomorrow and then down into the 30s....ugh.
We've been in the 60's the last couple of days, but that's over. No blue skies today! May get rain tomorrow. Built a fire today, felt good, will probably keep it going for a while now. Brr.

Good evening. So pleased with my hatch! Only took out 3 when I candled at day 10. 15 hatched, and 4 eggs left in the bator. I will give them a couple of days. I will try to remember to get pictures tomorrow.
Are you doing the New Year's hatch?? I have to get my incubator ready tomorrow, as I have to put the eggs in on Monday Morning.

If she did they may have gotten eaten.

I confess. Goose gets a swat when he’s being rough. Not a hit, but a swat. (The yelping thing did not work with him when he was younger. Now he’s starting to listen to uh uhs and nos but in the beginning...)
I really like setting things up so they get "caught in the act," even when I'm not there. I think it was the Koehler book that taught me how to set up what I now call the "Trash Monster," with an empty soda can with some dried beans in it and a length of dental floss, thread or fishing line tied to, say, a hot dog in the otherwise clean kitty box. The can should be perched above the box, ready to pounce as soon as the pup grabs it. This works on anything you want to teach pup not to grab. It doesn't have to be a hot dog. Use imagination! It usually only takes once!

They had some fireplace logs at wal marts made by Yankee candles . I would of loved to get them but Robert said they would probably give me a headache like the wax melts did and I didnt want to chance that so I didnt price them.
I think it is so sweet how he looks out for you.

Expecting rain tomorrow. Since the new girls have their coop, the seramas have been spending the days in a ground cage and nights in a little pet carrier in the garage. But this set up won't work well in the rain.

So I set them up a rainy day pen today. I will still put the pet carrier in with them. They go inside the carrier when it gets dark and I don't have to catch them. Easy peasy!

At least they will be dry.

My dogs get into the litter box every chance they get. I used to try and make them stop then I thought, wait a min,. They are keeping the box clean for me ! Bahahahaaa gross

You might try this instead: grab him under the jaw and give him a little shake and say NO in a harsh, "barking" tone. Dogs bite to communicate, so that will feel like a bite to him. If he continues, end the game. Get up and walk away. I call this "Red Light, Green Light." Mother dog does this with her pups, she will just stop playing, even remove eye contact, and wak away when she's had enough. It's a very effective way to teach boundaries.
