I lived there. The economy is not great and sales taxes are high. It is way too cold, bad enough here. Very few stores left to shop at too.

So not the Mecca everyone talks about. I don’t want to be taken care of. I want to work for what I want. But I don’t want my life controlled by the gov.

Yes, they do, just you can't get your Social Sec. there. Unless you have a P.O box in the states.

Yep, my sister loves it because of the free health care, that is the reason so high of tax. She did not have to give up her citizenship to become a Canadian. I won't move there either, because of the short summers. I need my seasons to be somewhat equal. LOL.

The only freaking thing they care about is their pay. To heck with the ones that elected them. Six hundred dollars is just enough to buy some christmas presents, but not enough to pay rent, or other bills. All this while congress will vote in a pay raise. I am so sick of government that cares not for the people. Other countries have been paying their citizens all along. But not the USA. My sister lives in Canada, and those people know how to take care of its people.

Yeah, I ordered some stuff from Canada and the sales tax was 13%

Wow! I feel pretty considering I struggled to fall asleep last night. I'm getting some things done today and it always feels good to accomplish something and get it off of your to do list...speaking of which, I need to finish making a Christmas gift too.
