they are peas that taste like beans. an acquired taste for sure. Red eye gravy is from ham juice. At least what I had was.
The tiny babies ya. The filter emptied then ran dry when the electric came back on. burned it up. It was a cheep one I have had for many years.
How was your dinner ?

Hmm, maybe I am not missing much then. Never heard of lucky food except maybe in Chinese culture.

Dinner was fun. Lots of little things to try, which dad enjoys... something new. I made flourless tortillas. He was pretty excited about that! Even took some home. Sis brought Krispy Kruncy Chicken... a new chain here (or new to our area) Huge hit with the boys. Hard to beat fried chicken done well!

It did although would have been better with a little lemon zest. I was trying to follow a recipe, but will modify next time.
The crust was great. One of those Diamond nut crusts like you got. It was pecan. Pie crust is the reason I don't really like pies... greasy flour is not my thing, but the nut crust is very good. Maybe I will become a pie person now!
