And you are sure the fish won't bring the algae into a new tank? It came from somewhere.

well I assume the light makes it grow. where it came from maybe you know more then me about it ? I have shared nets with this tank to others and I even tookk a small plant w/ the algae on it to the bettas bowl and the algae died off over there.

you know, If I could sell some more babies I could make room for these fish in the 37 and put them in the 40 w/o worrying about setting up a 50 or changing the one in the bedroom.

I cant do it alone. Thats for sure. Roberts worker would help me. He seems like a sweet guy.

If you can’t do , I would just save up for a new light.

Can you just leave the light off and see if 5he algae goes away.

I tried doing what they call a black out where I put the tank in total darkness. It didnt help. I tried peroxide in the tank which helped but killed a fish too.

that was wishings idea. Light causes algae to grow. I dont know if it would help or not.

I also have about 12 different fish that eat algae in there. Not even touching the problem.
