Tell her she has to train her brain. Start with gentle yoga class then at the end you do a short 10 min relaxation thing. When you start thinking of something else you gentle ask your brain to relax. You treat your mind like a two year old. Be very gentle.
My husband and I both meditate, my Mom isn't there yet. She doesn't "like" to let go. She's going to have to actually want to let go before she can meditate successfully. lol
