Another healthy quail hatched, and another is zipping. That would mean 5 quail... Except; the yellow one that was in the incubator this morning is dying. I thought he would be okay, but I had to go do some errands, and came back to a mostly paralyzed little peep I did not assist his hatch, btw. View attachment 2476017

What kind of heat source do you use?

Obviously my pharaoh is a male... oops. I always thought he was a she! They hatched out of 2 different colored eggs, which is how I know.

I was only asking because sometimes it gets hotter inside those little containers under a heat lamp but it might not be as warm with a white lamp. I think the red ones are much hotter.

Red ones get too hot imo.
