I will be ok H2o. That marine was a cutie. I should of waited for him to make the hill. LOL He was a recruiter I guess he had a convo w/ Robert when they were making the hill. Said he was back from 2 yrs in China.

Shoot, you should have ridden up the hill with that Marine! He could have explained the gears and saved you a boat load of pain.

I checked the weather and they said rain here. LOL

Diesel mechanics make good money. He hasn’t been able to find work?

Can confirm. You can make top dollar as a decent diesel mech.

Someone needs to tell me what 2nd and 3rd gear is for. I made better traction in 2nd gear but I dont know if I was supposed to.

That’s right. Second gear you’re less likely to spin the tires (which in snow/ice gets you in trouble). My ol Volvo had a “winter” mode that skipped first gear and started you in second. I made use out of that!!!

Lower gears are for difficult situations and added traction. Like 4wd . But you must drive slower using them.

Something something gear ratios. Just think of gearing on a bicycle. . The lower gears were easier to pedal but you couldn’t go as fast, the higher gears were harder to pedal but you could speed like the wind. Gear down when going up a hill or going through mud/higher resistance stuff.
Such a shame my menfolk dislike each other so much lol.

Anyway, I am still alive but not enjoying it much. If I am going to die from this $@!# I wish I would hurry up and get it over with. Still fighting dehydration bc everything I drink wants to come back up, even if I take tiny sips. Popsicles, soda, tea, GatorAde, PediaLyte, you name it, I've tried it. Grape juice is my best bet. Solid foods still iffy as well. I'll feel marginally better for a few hours, then woefully worse. Just want to sleep. I've been staying away because I know I'm not good company. I came just to give a report, an update, so you know I'm alive. But I'm too mizzerble to hang out and visit. It's just taking all my energy to deal with this monster. I'll be back when I can enjoy y'all. Hopefully soon. Meanwhile I wish you all well. Get vaccinated when you can. Wash hands, mask up, keep your distance. This too shall pass!

Thanks for asking, Cluck. No, I'm afraid I'm a long way from "all better." Apparently this is a devastating, lingering illness for some peopie and it may be weeks before I am "myself" again. I will pop in from time to time to let y'all know of my progress.

This whole thing has me freaked out. He was in relatively good health, and suddenly needs surgery, has a stroke and then dies. It happened so suddenly.

Morning all, I slept good but unfortunately Robert hasnt . I just gave him some coffee and sent him off to try again. I guess last night got to him.

Got goose starting training with a different trainer next week. Much more reasonable cost than the other guys. Got a good vibe from her too. She’s dabbled in schutzhund with her pup (stopped cause of cost and hip concerns), does search and rescue with him now (whoot!) and can work with me on akc obedience standards. They also can do the canine good citizenship test there so yay. All positive things.

hubs was a little upset. I didn’t realize it was king of the hammers time and he was thinking of going down there next weekend for the main race. Well. Take my truck and go sweet baboo. The motorhome isn’t going anywhere til we get those roof vents/skylights fixed. (We got the stuff to do the roof vents but the skylight is going to be harder to get the part for). He got his commuter wagon running again so yay.
In goose news, he slept on the bed last night. (Need a bigger bed) and slept the night. Woke me up just before six for his morning pee and chow, went into his crate for a bit til he had to go out again, then hopped back on the bed FOR SNUGGLES!!! Had a good hour or so of snuggles before he started getting mouthy but still. I’ll take it. Progress with my man.
He’s now having a good snooze on the futon (don’t judge the muddy sheets) while I play some sims.
