I did, so I just did a search. My DD and SIL are in Brazoria county. As of earlier today they were doing rolling blackouts lasting 15 min to an hour to try to cope with the load on the power grid. No relief in sight till Wednesday, with more cold below freezing on Thursday and Friday, but warming over the weekend. Their roads are a mess due to sleet, freezing rain, and below freezing temps. Sounds like an icy mess they are ill-prepared for.

Is the Galveston area included in that? My SIL isn't responding to my texts.

I just did a quick news check for Galveston County. They are under a severe winter warning and a newspaper reported that 500,000 customers had their power restored, but that some in the county are still without power. They had snow at the beaches! Lows in the teens. Not at all normal for that area.

yep and supposedly the ice machine is "borked" as well.

Thinking I am going to need a new battery for the farm/dog truck. Got it jumped this morning let it run/idle for about 45 minutes shut it off and then tried to start it right away and the SOB just clicked at me. Maybe when it gets a little warmer.

Maybe you need a new solenoid?
