Granny's gone and done it again

Northern corn bread is high, sweet and fluffy, almost like cake. The way folks eat it around here, it is short, heavy, dense, dry and baked in a skillet. I cook it for The Man but I don't eat it. At least I try to but the stuff insists on rising no matter how hard I try not to let it.

Every had mexican corn bread, yum it is like cheese cake.

I would leave out the whole kernel of corn. The one I get doesn’t have that.
