It is funny how we think our dog knows a word but if I say it out of the usually way or time I say he looks confused. Dog training is so interesting.

It is funny how we think our dog knows a word but if I say it out of the usually way or time I say he looks confused. Dog training is so interesting.

Tone is critical to a dog. If I ask, Sit? It does not sound at all like the same word as Sit! They only have one word in their vocab, but they can say all kinds of things by changing the tone. We have to be consistent in tone and inflection for them to understand us.
