Granny's gone and done it again

we got up to the middle 40's, after waking up to 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground.
That tears it. I ain't a-gonna move to North Dakota, so don't even ask. No, no. You can beg and cry but it won't do any good, I tell you! We had one big snow this year, okay so it lasted half of February. But it's over and done. We get rain but the snow is gone. You can keep it. All we have down here is the occasional tornado and I've got a nice basement. Keep your snow! Keep it, I say!

. I have 4 males and just by talking to people they all want males.
I always wanted girls, and yep, still a fan of girls (though that's nothing against Goose...though he is a bit more independent minded than Lexi or Peach)
I prefer males. Not only are the better for the show ring (no pesky heats), they are also much more clingier and sweet.
Well, can confirm my boy is a velcro dog, even moreso than my girls.
deacon only hikes if he is marking, usually squats

I prefer hiking otherwise they pee on their front legs 🤪
....yeah....Goose doesn't quite realize that he's a white dog and it's very obvious when he pees on his front legs....

sigh...applied for a job that I don't think I'll get - but hey had to try. Work's been...psycho insane and has me going bat-poop crazy. Tomorrow don't expect to see me - I only got 2/6 crews paperwork in before I left...and they were the smaller crews. OI.

Have a situation - one of our suppliers who does up our plans took a pic of me the other day - I was wearing my chicken mask - so this is a full head rubber mask of a chicken. I bust it out to troll delivery/amazon/mail people and sometimes when people come in and I don't have my normal mask (yes we're bad, we're all far enough away from each other that we don't wear our masks all day). So anyway, he drops off the plans and says oh he needs a pic with the invoice so I figure ok, amazon confirming delivery kind of deal, new but ok. Show it to your controller, who I deal with all the time she'll get a chuckle.

What does he do? he posts it to google associated with our business. DUDE. Not professional! So Mr VP emails our other admin (even though he knows darn well the chicken mask c'est moi) and asks if this name who posted the pic was one of our employees...so of course she shows me. I'm pretty annoyed. I don't like getting people in trouble but part of me thinks I should mention it to the controller/his boss and say hey, I know I wear the chicken mask, I know it's silliness, but that doesn't mean you should post it on the internet as OH LOOK THIS IS A PIC OF COMPANY NAME HERE.

Not cool.

Will post goose pics once I get Goose out for his evening pee (hubs was so not helping with that...oh but its raining...DUDE I DONT CARE HE HAS TO PEE BEFORE BED) and grab my cellamaphone.

A- hope you're feeling better. I feel like with covid going on, if you feel fevered and crappy, the teachers should be understanding if you stay home and should be able to retake the test when you're feeling better.

Granny et al - hope everyone's doing well, catch you....eventually....again...lol SEND ME CLONES

Goose pics as requested.

Oh, star, what a mess! (Chicken mask thing). Can understand you being upset. But .... at the same time .... don't s'pose we could get a pic of that mask here? Please, pretty please? If sounds awesome, really! I may have to get me one ....

Here's my thinking on the great male/female dog debate, starting with intact animals. Females are generally more territorial. Which means they roam less, stay home more. But also means they are more protective, as in, they're more vocal. Bark more. Males are often quieter (yay!), but may roam, especially when bitches are in heat (boo!).

My Gracie (spayed) is so darn territorial, it's like I don't have a dog. I like having a dog underfoot and by my side. But she's always lying outside one of the doors, surveying her domain, doing perimeter checks. It's great that she keeps coyotes away from the chickens, she's a great little sentry. But she's not really a pet. She takes her guard duties seriously. I admire her, but I don't really get to enjoy her.

I had a male Golden (neutered) years ago that was always under my feet. I had to teach him to bark, literally. He went everywhere with me. He was everything I want in a dog. But ... I didn't have free-ranging chickens at the time.

I guess, in an ideal world, I'd have a Gracie and a Rigby at the same time. 🙂

Once Granny and Twist sign off, it can get real quiet. I think other posters go visit other threads. I call it going walkabout. I do it myself until I get sleepy enough to sign off and go to slerp.
I often ramble around and read---it's calming to think about other people all over connecting here---I don't always jump in. YES I'm a lurker
