I have been feeding and watering for hours! Had to come in for a drink.

I went to Home Depot and bought some plants for a bare spot in the front yard, and some flowers for the humm'birds. Those will hang off the rain gutters where the chickens can't get em and provide a little cover for the birds by the feeders. I also went out and dug up some Stars of Bethlehem to transplant to a border out front but pooped out before I got many planted. Tomorrown's another day but I'm afraid it's going to be raining/ storming.

I was even pulling ticks off of the goats tonight. Misty is being nasty to the young girls. I turned the light out so they can rest in peace. Hope she leaves them alone

Hi all, Im home and exhausted. Got everything done needed doing. Pain was really bad when I first got home. A little better now but not much.

Yes, sold 2 more of my breeding stock of rabbits as well, plus a bunch of Light Brahma youngsters.
I bought one polish pullet, a splash about 4 months old. Happy to have company for the lonely hen in quarantine. No other live things. Did buy an old metal garbage can for feed.

Have considered breeding rabbits for meat but they look too darn cute..

Yay!! Finally after 1.5 months we've got rain!! 0.7 inches fell last night.. not bad for a semi-arid climate...

Chookies not very happy though...

Even considered breeding errr... rats.... as they errr.. breed like rats.... some cultures do eat them .. but heard they taste rancid... yucks....
