Didn't do much. Haven't left bed much today. can't stop crying but I also feel numb. Bad day. I wish it where over.

Mother's Day is hard on a lot of folks for lots of reasons. Some are sad because they lost mothers they loved. Others are sad because their relationships with their mothers were not all hearts and flowers and rainbows. But we can all eat cake and ice cream, right?

Happy Mother's Day to all

Hubs and I went for a hike, stopped by and visited with my dad for a bit.
When we got home a vase of gladiolus were waiting on the table.

And outside, my hanging baskets (that I tried to grow strawberries in last year) had been repotted with some beautiful begonias! They will be hung on the shady side of the house where we can see them out the kitchen window.

Such a lovely surprise! Fully inspected and approved by all.

Great idea!! I will add some hummingbird feeders near the baskets. I have all the stuff to make mini feeders and never got it done last year.

These are the first begonias for me too. I knew a lady who was begonia crazy. She had the most beautiful flowers and amazing colors... I thought they were about the prettiest things I'd ever seen.
I doubt I'll live up to her standard, but you've got to start somewhere!

Couple weeks ago I had mentioned to hubs that I was giving up on the (dead) strawberries and thought begonias might be fun. He remembered.
