Rats. Wish I'd known chickens eat roses. GirlChild gave me some for Mother's Day and I just tossed them yesterday.

Yes! Mine love them! They love begonias more apparently though. Roses are an edible flower. I often drizzle chocolate and mint chocolate on rose petals (and let harden) for a posh and healthy sweet snack. Roses... not just for ducks and chickens

We have a rose on the property, but after 12 or 15 years it is still just a twig. I suspect a deer might be nibbling on it. Or it doesn't like the soil. Mostly I have bulb flowers. Daffodils, iris, lilies, that sort of thing.
