if your going to use frontline, Treat them asap so it wont be washed off OR get dilouted.

i forgot what we use.. If i put it on before it has an hour in the car to dry and neither dogs swim

Talking about the dogs? Best to treat before, IMO. That way any ticks they get will die right away. You don't want ticks latching on for 24 hours, or worse, getting on you. And check them all over every night. There is a pill that treats for fleas, ticks, heartworms, roundworms, tapes and something else but I forget what.

I THINK I read that Frontline isn't as effective as it used to be. Not sure. Ask vet.

I'll treat them Wed. then. I'll check them before they go into the camper every time.

I also am scared deacon might break out of his plastic crate and get loose with zeus... its a constant worry with me at the campsite. i wish we'd stop bringing zeus. he can barley walk anyways

I "think" I am using frontline plus now days.

Do what we used to do before we brought deacon, hire somebody else to worry about him...

Deacon wouldn't break out just to fight zeus, but he would break out if he smelled food or something he could get to.. the wire crate is too big

not like I can muzzle deacon all night like I do when we go down to the Marina. I hope that if he gets out he'd just crawl into bed with me and not bother zeus. He has been with zeus while zeus was sleeping. its only when zeus is up and "bothering" deacon is when deacon attacks
