not sure. The cheapest solution might be to get one of those tube things that attach to the down spout and then roll out when it rains and rolls itself back up when done.

GOD NO on the sleep with the boot, I only use it when going outside OR planning on doing a lot of walking. REALLY hard to ellivate a foot with the monstrosity on it.
