Hey..coming on to let you know my husband passed on the 27th...last Thursday. All I can say is, this is so hard. Kids have been wonderful! So thankful for them. A couple stayed with me through the days as he passed. Then one daughter stayed one more night. The kids that live here we're in California for a wedding. They got back the day before he passed. I'm so grateful they are home..I'm not alone. Thank you for prayers.

Poor baby. Have you tried sugar on her tissues to hold them in?

No. I've read about using sugar or honey, but there are too many flies and even ants around. I fear it would be a huge target. After all this time, she is otherwise healthy and active. I'm mostly worried about flystrike getting her.

Oh update on Robert,

He is in the Bismarck Hospital in ICU , I talked to him last night. 5 broken ribs with some internal bleeding and then managed to break his femur just a little below where the ball joint attached to the hip.

Wow. That's very serious. No wonder he's in ICU.
How many steps are there where he fell?
He's probably going to need a skilled nursing facility for a few weeks. He won't be walking anytime soon.
My grandpa broke his femur and never made it back home. He had some dementia and it got worse from being away from his home. Never got up again. He kind of faded away.
