Cool! How much land do yaks need?

1) they are cool
2) you can keep 3 adults on the same amount of land as one cow
3) Winter hardy as all they really need as windbreaks ( I have barns/sheds) they can use
4) Yaks are 'cool"
5) for selling as feeders/breeders/and at some point an eater for me/here.
6) fiber possible in the future.

7) NOT I repeat NOT crazy enough to ever try and milk them.

I have a total of 40.3 acres out there. I suspect the big pasture and the tits and rodeo grounds are 32 to 35 acres. Then maybe a couple acres in 4 paddocks for the weanlings and grow out heifers.

I start doing a "not so bright" thing last night and then did a mental head smack and quit looking,. Thought hey since I am going to Co with a full trailer BUT coming back empty I should look/check/inquire about bring home an Imperial female or 2.

I found some lamb soup in the freezer. Well.Robert did and I just had it. Still just as good as the day I made it.
Found Tom this AM with a bad sugar drop. I had to hold some juice for him to drink. I have been trying to get him to eat more then once a day but its a no-go.

UM 13 cows, 2 bulls and 8 calves in the big pasture.

The rest 5 bulls and 3 heifers from last year, Then Curly, Mein, Solinox, Annie
