She's doing a great job!More chicks! These are the broody’s still. I like the brown one.
Be careful! My GS, aka The Kid, gets heat stroke. Scares me to death!I worked in garden for 1&1/2 hrs & got way overheated.
Okay…she is sitting so that’s good. This is her first time and we are planning to have her sit on more batches for the years to come. But she did make a few mistakes like…she broke an egg on day 7, “accidentally” sat on the wrong nest, etc. But yeah, I am glad we caught her quick in the wrong nest, so nothing too bad happened to the eggs. But I feel like 3/6 won’t hatch which is a bummer. 1/6 broke, 3/6 have hatched, and 2/6 are overdue, one one of them is overdue by 3-4 daysShe's doing a great job!
Us too. Seems to go around us a lot. It'll rain sometimes even just a couple miles from us, and miss us. We live on a low ridge.Oh it does? I hope we get some good rain. So far just a couple sprinkles.
That’s pretty good that you guys even expect rain soon! We barely get any rain in an entire year. Mostly only in winter and spring.Us too. Seems to go around us a lot. It'll rain sometimes even just a couple miles from us, and miss us. We live on a low ridge.

During the summer time, I typically just make sure their waterer is in the shade, sometimes feed dampened feed as a treat, and feed watermelons. They seem to enjoy the watermelons the most. We also cut back on scratch…it’s been really hot as of lately, so I also try to crest more dust bathes for them.I collected two cochin bantam chicks that hatched under the banties. One of each color.
Just trying to be sure the animals all have water, and feed. Hard to stay out any length of time in the 90s.
Cherry, how hot is it where you are?During the summer time, I typically just make sure their waterer is in the shade, sometimes feed dampened feed as a treat, and feed watermelons.
