And I just am amazed by the miracle of birth and just how fast a mother tongue can lick/lap.

Me too. It's beautiful! Birth is, I mean. I even got to help when my best friend delivered her child at home with a midwife, and I was present when my daughter had her oldest. It's beyond words!
