Granny's gone and done it again

Real chili doesn’t have beans.
Lol. Mine does! And often does not have meat! I know, heresy, right? But here's my recipe, @cherrynberry (makes a batch big enough for leftovers):

2 cans each of the following:
Pinto beans
Ranch Style beans
4 oz. diced green chilis, mild*
4 oz tomato sauce

1 can diced tomatoes
2 pkg chili seasoning, mild*
Half jar Pace salsa, mild*

1 yellow onion, diced and sauteed in 1 Tbsp oil till tender, about 5 min.

Place all in crock pot, stir to combine, cover and cook on high 3-4 hr or 5-6 hr on low.

*This is how I make it. Use medium or high heat, to taste.

Opt.: Brown 1 lb. ground beef over medium heat, stirring till crumbly and no longer pink and add to other ingredients.

Wow! You use actual chili! Thats pretty cool...I dont have much of the ingredients. But I hope I will be able to make chili one day!

You can also do this on the stove top but you have to babysit it, stirring occasionally so it doesn't scorch. In a crockpot you leave it completely alone. Don't lift the lid, don't stir. Do not bother, annoy or harrass the chili at all until time to serve.

Edited typos, sorry. Got in a hurry!
