Had a little excitement last night. Two Brittany spaniels showed up and got hold of two of my hens. Huge piles of feathers but we got out there and ran them off. No hens were actually harmed and I can hardly tell which hens actually lost all those feathers! The owners came and got them and were such nice folks, ready to pay full price for dead layers but it wasn't necessary.

no one offered to pay for mine when their dogs got them. Happened a couple times.

Thanks. They have about 40 of their own chickens so they know! They said they will put electric fence net around the dogs so they don't get out again. Thry weren't home at the time.
