Granny's gone and done it again

Well I looked at that chicken, it was .97 cent a lb and cost $6.47 so almost a 7lb chicken. I think I will be well before it thaws. haha Hoping anyway. I seem to feel some better today. symptoms are the same but no stomach burning right now.
That's a little bit of good news! Just take it easy.

I have to take it easy. I am wobbly on my feet. Wish I could twitch my nose and that broth be done. I know it would help me. The medicine came. first pill didnt work. Maybe it needs more time.
The food came. Its sitting on the porch. Have to wait for Robert to bring it in. Tom is doing my laundry. He wont let me do it. He is good to me. Maybe he thinks I dont know how. hahaha

Someone tell me some good news. Something that made them happy .
I could use some happy stories too.

I have a little one...
In June the Manzanita took a cue from the chickens and started molting. There were little curlicues of peeling bark on the trunk and branches. I thought it looked really cool and tried to get some good pics.

I noticed some of the branches had lost their curlicues in places and it made me curious. Why were those specific sections of those particular branches bare?
I was out to solve another mystery of nature.

The answer came the day after I took the pics. A family from down the road was out for a stroll and I heard their little 4 yr old calling to his mother to "come see this!" Spying through the fence, I saw Little Romeo (that's really his name) on the driveway under the Manzanita... and with his index finger extended thusly👆he was slowly running his finger down a branch, popping off the curlicues and watching them flutter to the ground. "Mama, Mama! Look! You have to try this! It's sooo satisfying!" (He really said that!)

Mom came up, with younger brother Wyatt in the stroller, to witness Romeo denuding my manzanita. "Try it Mama! It feels so good!" She indulged him for a minute or two, then they continued their walk. But that few minutes of sheer joy made a big impression on me. I'm smiling just thinking about it.
4 yr olds have a unique outlook on life... so many exciting new discoveries out there! It renews your spirit to be around their joy and amazement. I hope we all keep a bit of that awe in our hearts and get a chance to feel it and share it often. Go Romeo!

Thats a special story Wishing. The joy of youth is real. We all need to think back. I also have 2 trees that does that but in much bigger sheets. 7 sons is one of them. cool tree and the sycamores another. the syc, are cool because they leave a white trunk under neath the bark.
Cap, congrats on the sale!
