If someone abuses animals don't they get slapped with a big fine or go to jail? I imagine vet bills for a sick or injured animal, or restitution for a dead one might be very prohibitive. Do you have cameras up?

Hubs' sister and her husband are getting back on the road tomorrow (they are RVing) so we met them and had Chinese food tonight... lots of Chinese food! It was very good, but I thing I may have overdone it just a bit. burrrrp!

Me three! (Graduated at 17) - Barely 17, at that! Had turned 17 in April, graduated in May! Not sure it was an advantage. Wanted to move out of parents' hoouse, get on with life, but you're not legal to do much. Like rent an apartment, sign contracts of any kind, buy a car, etc. Hard to get a job, competing with 18-yo peers, etc.

I went to University in Canada that fall, 1974.

My family couldn't afford college, but my parents had bought a little two-story house that had been converted into apartments. They rented me one and I got a job as a secretary. A year and a half later I was married. I worked until we had our first child four years later. I've not regretted not going to college. To this day I don't know what I would have majored in.

I also was 17 when I graduated, lived with parents while I went to community college & worked part time at fabric store, transferred to university when I was 18 & graduated 2 months after I turned 20, almost finished masters degree before I started teaching when I was 21.

Goid morning Grannyland, and I have good news!!!!
Our injured hen (neighbor's dog a few weeks back) as of this morning is no longer an in-house ICU patient! She has healed to the point that she was released this morning to the outside infirmary, aka grow-out pen, woohoo! We do not want to put her in Gen Pop until we are sure George cannot re-injure that area and make it subject to flystrike again. The wound is clean and dry and feathers are growing over it to cover, hide and protect it. The pen she is in is also a see-no-touch pen so will make it easy to re-integrate her with the flock in a week or so. So happy we were able to save her!

Wrong, I was 21 when I graduated not twenty, took me 3 1/2 years to get my BS degree.

Morning all, lots of pain today and I forgot coffee creamer which means a trip to Madison. Not sure I can do that or not.
