Have you had a BCM die of heat stroke? Do you have shade? Cool water?

What kind of heat are we talking about? I'm in SE MO. Well, this year was pretty bad. Ambient temps at worst were 89-94, but our humidity is killer, so our heat indices got up to 105 - 108 for a couple of weeks. We froze water in plastic bottles, topped them off with cold water and put them in the chooks' water buckets. Even in the hottest weather we were still getting 10-12 eggs a day, when peak production was 16. Not bad, sez I!

A good day, thanks. Got my first batch of wood delivered for winter. Installed two new nests in the hen house so now I have five. And all the hens but one laid their eggs in one of the old nests. Nine eggs in one nest. Chickens are goofy!
