On the way home from the dentist I got something in my eyes and wiped it out but today my eye is slightly swollen and starting to hurt. Does pink eye make the lid swell? The eye itself isnt red or gritty.

Pinkeye is a contagious virus. You don't get it from a foreign object in your eye. If something scratched or irritated your eye, it should feel better in a day or so. Pinkeye takes about 2 weeks to resolve, according to the mayo clinic.
