I tried once and they kept trying to push me back in screaming "save the beached whale"

also you don't get much more "land locked" then North Dakota. 1500 miles or better to the nearest ocean.

I hear ya. Denver is the same. I was a young adult before I first saw an ocean. It was awesome!
